At London Communications Agency, I had the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks which showcased my skills and provided a deeper insight in the industry. My tasks included managing data entry using spreadsheets, crafted stories for their social media channels and authored an article which was featured in the company bulletin. These responsibilities enabled me to demonstrate proficiency in my written communication as well as gaining an understanding of their operations through shadowing a range of their departments.

I had the pleasure of attending work experience at the commercial property firm Lewis and Partners where I participated in both internal and external meetings to discuss property investment projects which provided valuable opportunities to meet and learn from fund managers. I also reviewed the company’s application software to explore potential commercial properties, which enhanced my understanding of how technology can increase business efficiency. Additionally, I visited various property investments, helping me recognise the different roles involved in redevelopment projects. Overall, this experience deepened my understanding of the commercial property industry and highlighted the importance of essential skills, such as building strong client relationships and effective communication, which are fundamental to the profession.

I conducted market research for the company’s Christmas campaign, which highlighted the role of trends in shaping creative direction. I gained hands-on experience in event management by setting up Fever-tree stalls and training external staff on brand standards. I also worked with the design team, participated in product tastings and launches which as a result deepened my understanding of product innovation and collaboration in a competitive market. I attended a range of meetings with investors covering their new and potential launches which emphasised the importance of adapting to feedback and the impact of teamwork on business success.
